The Tidö parties have agreed to lower the reduction obligation to 6 percent for both gasoline and diesel, the party leaders for M, L, KD and SD write on DN Debate.
The reduction obligation means that companies must mix biofuel into diesel and petrol in order to reduce emissions of fossil fuels.
According to the parties, this will mean that diesel will be SEK 5.50 cheaper per litre.
The change comes into force at the turn of the year and must apply until the end of the term.
Currently, the reduction obligation for diesel is 30.5 percent and 7.8 percent for gasoline. The annual escalation of the reduction obligation was paused by the previous government.
