In April, long-term forecasts indicated that the summer of 2023 could be as hot as the summer of 2018, as the conditions are now similar.
– With each passing year, it will get worse with an increased greenhouse effect. So even if it doesn’t happen this year, it will happen at some point. It is worrying, says Annica Ekman, professor of meteorology at Stockholm University.
