Gran Turismo is based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough (Archie Madekwe), who qualified for a real race thanks to his talent in the racing video game Gran Turismo. However, this is only a small, first step. In order to withstand the tough competition, he is trained by the pros Danny Moore (Bloom) and Jack Salter (David Harbour) to the fiercest.
Gran Turismo is the adaptation of the video game series of the same name that began in 1997. The implementation was directed by none other than Neill Blomkamp, known for sci-fi hits like District 9.
