Victor Orbán supports Donald Trump in the US presidential election.
The Hungarian prime minister also claims that the war in Ukraine would never have even happened if Trump had been president.

On Thursday, Victor Orbán gave a speech at the conservative CPAC conference in Budapest, Hungary. Orbán, who for a long time supported Donald Trump, again expressed his support for the former American president.
– We can be sure that if President Trump were president now, there would be no war affecting Ukraine and Europe today. Come back Mr. President, make America great again and give us peace, says the Prime Minister and continues:
– The truth is that the two most important places in modern democracy, Washington and Brussels, are in the hands of liberals. Let’s make sure it doesn’t continue to be that way in the future.
Trump agrees
Donald Trump himself has expressed exactly the same thought – several times.
In a speech in January, Trump claimed he could end the war easily – in just one day – but he did not say exactly how it would be done.
