The player, whom SVT chose to call “Johan”, was a so-called VIP customer at Betsson and according to the district court, he played in a way that indicated he had a gambling problem. However, the court did not consider this to be reason enough to declare “Johan’s” agreement with the company, that is, his gambling, invalid.
Per Holknekt, entrepreneur and former gambling addict, has sued the gambling company Unibet and will also sue Betsson. He participated in Aktuellt on Thursday and believes that the district court’s decision is “sad.”
– The court does not understand the disease, and that is no wonder, it is complex.
– If you go into the pub drunk and order 27,000 gin and tonics, the bar owner should probably say that you shouldn’t drink there today.
SVT has invited both Betsson and Unibet to Aktuellt, but both have declined participation.
