WhatsApp’s new features are curious. This time, the messaging application is on the agenda with a feature that has been talked about for a while… Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, the umbrella company of WhatsApp, gave the good news on this subject by saying, “You can do it from today.”
According to TechCrunch’s report, WhatsApp is finally rolling out multi-device support. Mark Zuckerberg announced the availability of the feature on Facebook and Instagram.
“From today, you can log into the same WhatsApp account from up to four different phones,” Zuckerberg said in his post yesterday.
WhatsApp said that this feature will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
Until now, users could only use one WhatsApp account on one phone and multiple desktop devices.
THUS, EVEN IF THE DEVICE IS OFF…
With the new app, users’ messages will be synced across devices, including other phones. Thus, even if one device is turned off, users will be able to access the application from other devices.
WhatsApp, which has more than 2 billion users, did not have multi-phone support until now. This was because there was full end-to-end encryption support for chats and calls.
