This year, now that we have been released from all restrictions, the film was finally shown publicly. The film has become even more urgent because of the war in Ukraine, Macrander believes. “When I started this project, there was no such thing as war. But when I watch the film now, I get the impression that little has changed since the Second World War. Soon you will get the stories from Ukraine and they may be almost parallel with the stories of these people from the resistance.”
