YouTuber Fritz Meinecke nominated 3 Twitch streamers to take part in the 3rd season of his survival show 7 vs. Wild. Nominees had until midnight on April 30 to confirm their acceptance. MeinMMO tells you who is there.
What’s up with the nominations? For the 3rd season of his survival show 7 vs. Wild, survival expert Fritz Meinecke changed some of the rules: Instead of lone fighters, this time there are teams of two who have to stay in the wilderness for 14 days instead of 7.
In contrast to the 2nd season, people who were already there were also invited: Twitch streamer Jens “Knossi” Knossala and YouTuber Sascha Huber were nominated despite their participation in the 2nd season.
What has remained the same is the way participants are found: Meinecke publicly nominates potential candidates without having contacted them privately beforehand. They then have time to comment on the nomination. Also among the lucky nominees were Twitch duo Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris and Carsten “Elotrix”.
Now it is known which of them will be in Season 3.
7 vs. Wild: Fritz Meinecke nominates 2 of the biggest German Twitch streamers – What does the “Retiree Team” say?
MontanaBlack made it exciting
What about Monte? Twitch streamer MontanaBlack’s response was particularly eagerly awaited. After all, the 35-year-old is one of the biggest German streamers and many of his fans would have liked to see him at 7 vs. Wild.
At the same time, fans didn’t get their hopes up too much: MontanaBlack had boasted about being there for season 2 in a tropical climate, but viewers suspected that there wasn’t much behind it.
After all, the streamer got cold feet when he was nominated for Arctic Warrior, the season 2 winner’s survival show. MontanaBlack made it exciting and kept his fans in suspense until the very end.
Around 8:40 p.m. on April 30, even his teammate and buddy Elotrix hadn’t heard from him. Even at 10:30 p.m., an hour and a half before the deadline, MontanaBlack wasn’t ready to make a statement.
Shortly thereafter, MontanaBlack announced via Elotrix that he was not there: It was probably not the right situation, one had to think about business, that would mean 2 weeks of loss of earnings. We’ve included the clip for you here:
How did the fans react? Even if the cancellation came as little surprise to most, the fans are still disappointed. In particular, the fact that the streamer avoided an official refusal and sent Elotrix ahead causes frustration:
In addition, Elotrix is out as well: The streamer had agreed to participate, but only with MontanaBlack.
Knossi and Sascha Huber want to “write history”
Who’s in? When MontanaBlack and Elotrix are out, only Knossi remains to represent the Twitch faction. The 36-year-old surprised in Season 2 with his stamina and is probably the “winner of hearts” for many.
Knossi and Sascha Huber also took their time with their answer. After careful consideration, it was clear on the evening of April 30: Both of them are in. The creator duo is definitely in the mood and is already making a good mood, as you can see in the clip:
How is that received? The more disappointed the viewers were about MontanaBlack’s cancellation, the more they celebrate Knossi and Sascha Huber. The fans are enthusiastic in the chat and on Twitter. Knossi even cracked 60,000 viewers in his stream – he last had that many in November when the 2nd season of 7 vs. Wild was broadcast (via sullygnome).
The reactions in which Knossi commented on the episodes of the survival show meanwhile made him the most watched German streamer. So it seems that the streamer’s participation will be worth it this time too.
What’s next? After the cancellation of 3 nominated teams, Fritz Meinecke now has to put up new candidates. A good replacement for MontanaBlack would be his Twitch colleague Trymacs. He’s made no secret of how much he’d like to play 7 vs. Wild.
After he didn’t receive an invite for Season 2, he even planned his own survival show without further ado:
Trymacs denies allegations that he copied 7 vs. Wild with his survival show
