Elsa Widding’s decision to leave the party and become a political savage does not create any immediate consequences for the government, but could be worrisome in the future, says Mats Knutson.
– It creates increased uncertainty for the rest of the term.
Knutson airs the uncertainty during the previous term as a reason why it was important for the moderate leader Ulf Kristersson to get exactly 176 mandates instead of 175.
– As it has been in the past, the political savages gradually come during the mandate period, says Mats Knutson.
