  • Suspected dangerous object in Malmö

    The police have received an alarm about a suspected dangerous object on Segevång in Malmö.

    – It is a suspicious object that has been found outdoors, says Sara Andersson, press spokesperson at the police.

    The National Bomb Squad is on its way to the site to check the object. The place is cordoned off.

    Update: The object proved to be harmless and the cordons have been lifted.

    Bryansk borders Ukraine and the governor Alexander Bogomaz writes on Telegram that it was an “unidentified explosive device” that caused the train to derail.

    Traffic on the route has been closed.

  • Woman dead after house fire – child missing

    A woman has died and a child is missing after the house fire in Markaryd.

    Relatives have been notified.

    Three people have been taken to hospital after the fire. These are said to have minor injuries, according to the police.

    A car with students – so-called Russebil – has driven off the road and partially ended up in the water in Flekkefjord in Norway, reports VG.

    Five young people were traveling in the car. Three of them have received serious injuries and were flown by ambulance helicopter to hospital.

    The accident occurred shortly after 06:00 on Monday morning.

    “This morning, May 1, our beloved Lotta Bouvin-Sundberg fell asleep. We have such great memories with you. Now the tears are not enough,” he writes, and continues:

    “Thank you to all of you loving people for all the support during Lotta’s illness”.

    Lotta Bouvin-Sunberg was a presenter on SVT for many years, including for “Aktuellt” and “Gomorron Sweden”.

    She was 63 years old.

  • Motorboat has run over sailboat

    A motorboat has run over a sailboat near Nämdö outside Stockholm.

    A man and a woman were down in the hull of the sailboat when a motorboat driver first ran over a dock facility and then ran over the cockpit of the sailboat.

    The man is suspected of gross negligence in maritime traffic, contagion from a maritime accident and two cases of causing bodily harm.

    The motorboat has been impounded.

    The accident occurred on Friday evening.

    The artist Torbjörn “Pugh” Rogefeldt has died, his family confirms to DN.

    He lived to be 76 years old.

  • Fire after Walpurgis celebration

    A holiday home and tree have started to burn in connection with a Walpurgis celebration in Ryssby in Ljungby.

    SOS was alerted to the incident at 01:00 last night when a motorist saw the fire.

    When a police patrol arrived at the scene, they could ascertain that there had been a Walpurgis celebration with a bonfire there during the evening. The group that was there must have left the place during the evening and then the fire spread to the holiday home.

    A person is now suspected of public negligence.

  • Car and minibus in collision

    A passenger car with a trailer and a minibus have collided on the E6 north of Halmstad.
