Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, the highly anticipated sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, just got off to a disastrous start on Steam. Gamers and experts complain about performance problems. And then there’s exiled YouTuber Herschel “DrDisrespect” Beahm, who loves everything.
Why is everyone bitching about Star Wars: Jedi Survivor? EA’s new AAA title received a scathing 29% positive ratings on Steam upon release on April 28th. The story and gameplay were well received by the players if they could have enjoyed it with more than 30 FPS.
The sites Digital Foundry and Eurogamer agree: Jedi Survivor is the worst triple-A port of the year so far – which is saying something with the strong competition in the form of The Last of Us.
But one person has no understanding for the complaints: The former Twitch streamer DrDisrespect, who has been making YouTube unsafe since his perma ban, had no problems with the game’s performance and addressed wise words to the critics.

What does the doc have to say? In an April 30th tweet, DrDisrespect reported that he had been playing Jedi Survivor on the highest settings all day. The frame rate has dropped a bit in some cutscenes, but overall the performance and experience are “top notch”.
He also offered a few words of wisdom to the critics: “People who complain about video games – LOOK FOR A LIFE.”
How are the reactions? Pretty mixed. The tweet has already received over 1.5 million views and numerous comments. Some Twitter users agree with the Doc and write that they can play without problems, although at least some of them are console players.
Others, like Twitch streamer Lirik, who shared a clip of his buggy gameplay, may have disagreed.
Particularly attentive users should notice, however, that DrDisrespect complains about video games full-time: be it the sound effects in Apex Legends or the entirety of Warzone 2, the Doc always has something to complain about. It’s almost part of his brand identity.
Some people are therefore surprised that he of all people finds such words of praise for the new AAA disaster. If DrDisrespect hasn’t lost any ability for self-reflection, the tweet should have been meant at least a little ironically.
Releasing unfinished games and then fixing them with a day-one patch has become increasingly badass in recent years. The opposite case, where a patch breaks everything, is a problem with Call of Duty:
