The first Red Cross aid flight arrived in Sudan

More than 500 people have been killed in fighting between Sudanese army forces and the opposing RSF paramilitary fighters.

The first plane carrying humanitarian aid of the International Committee of the Red Cross landed in Sudan on Sunday, the organization says in its press release.

The plane that left Jordan was carrying eight tons of cargo, which includes, among other things, surgical supplies for the use of hospitals in Sudan.

Heavy fighting between Sudanese army forces and the opposing paramilitary RSF fighters has been raging for the third week. More than 500 people have died in them and around 4,600 have been wounded.
