This year, none other than TV4 Nyheternas reporter Marcus Noterius participated in the classic rafting at Valborg in Uppsala. But everything didn’t quite go according to plan.
With a small styrofoam ship and a crew of two, he paddled along one of Sweden’s most polluted rivers towards the classic waterfall in central Uppsala. And the audience was excited.
– Marcus, Marcus, Marcus! they shouted.
In the live broadcast, he will manage to get down the waterfall, but seconds before, the panic is clearly heard in the reporter’s voice.
– But what the hell, it’s the worst waterfall! exclaims Noterius just before the small raft is about to crash.
– Eeeee, oh oh oh oh oh oh, oh my god. But what the hell!
“Where is he?”
Then Marcus Noterius and his crew go down the waterfall and drown in the rapids. The TV4 boat breaks into pieces.
“Where is he? We are desperately trying to find Marcus here in Fyrisån”, is heard from the studio.
Rescue personnel are on site to fish out participants.
Update with Notary
Everything went well for Noterius and crew who have been helped out of the river and will participate in Nyhetsmorgon.
– I almost have a few memory gaps. I was so nervous before and when we got to that case, I tried to stay on the raft, but it didn’t work, he says.
– It was so fast, so I just tried to stay afloat.
