Amazon in Turkey introducing children to coding education at an early age in village schools. Started the project “I’m Coding My Dream”.
According to the statement, Amazon Turkey launched the partnership with the Join My Dream Community. “I Code My Dream” As part of the social responsibility project, Necessary educational tools were provided to the village schools in the Aegean Region for students to gain STEM skills and coding training was offered.. Primary school teachers and primary school children received training on coding, thanks to the “Coding My Dream” project, which was first initiated in 2 schools in Torbalı, 2 schools in Bornova and 1 school in Bergama. Within the scope of the project, Amazon Turkey gave computer, education and stationery sets as gifts, and supported the projects they developed by giving scholarships to students. Within the scope of the project, two teachers from each school were trained. Volunteers from Amazon Turkey and Volunteers of the Join My Dream Community were also included in the preparation processes of the trainers. Teachers met with children and worked on the “I’m Coding My Dream” activities held at schools between January and April. Teams of 10, formed from students who continue their workshops, met at the fair with the theme of “Imagine Your Future School” held on April 29 and shared their projects and works with the visitors. In addition to students, teachers, Join My Dream and Amazon volunteers attended the fair held at the IzQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.
