“The deceased have not been formally identified, but the police have an idea of who they are,” Innlandet’s police district writes in a press release.
It was at half past three on Thursday afternoon that a car and a truck collided head-on. Three people in the car died and a fourth was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. The truck driver escaped without physical injuries.
The passenger car was registered in Sweden, and all passengers in the car are believed to be Swedish men in their 50s and 60s. The truck was registered in Lithuania.
“The police are investigating the accident and at the moment cannot say anything about the cause or the course of events,” the press release states.
