Nothing seems to be able to stop Microids and his insatiable desire to conquer the world, and the hearts of forty gamers. Among the many games that the publisher pulls out of its pocket every two months, we learn of the existence of an Inspector Gadget video game. Subtitled “Mad Time Party”, it is a family party-game that brings young and old together around a friendly, fun and easy-to-follow title. This is obviously not necessarily the kind of game we expected for Inspector Gadget, but it is so. Developed by Smart Tale Games, the title is playable up to 4 players, where you will have to launch festive missions by coming into contact with key characters in the series such as Chef Gontier, Sophie or MAD agents.
In the shoes of Inspector Gadget, the player will be able to wander around Metroville, which has unfortunately fallen under the control of Doctor Gang. In order to save the city, Inspector Gadget must use a time machine to return to the past. Unfortunately, it breaks down and the ancestors of the famous inspector find themselves teleported to the present. It will therefore be necessary to explore the city, challenge the ancestors of Inspector Gadget and recover the missing parts of the machine. Quests are offered as mini-games to unlock the bolts needed to fix it. The game will offer 16 mini-games at launch (it’s not much for the genre) but we hope that Microids will offer free updates thereafter.
The output of theInspector Gadget: Mad Time Party is expected this fall on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PS4.
