(Finance) – “It is worrying that the government has had a majority problem with respect to the Def, on which we hope for substantial internal reflection. A further analysis of what happened on the part of the executive is probably necessary, we absolutely cannot waste any more time with respect to all the fiscal and economic issues. The country cannot afford to back down on reform and economic development initiatives, the future of the Italian economy is at stake”. She said it Matthew DeLise, president of the National Union of Young Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts, opening the 60th National Congress of the associationscheduled for today and tomorrow at Palermo, at Maximus Theater.
“There category of accountants he has bet on this government and hopes for a quick solution to the rejection of the Def”, remarked De Lise. “There Italian tax reform can no longer be postponed, we are talking about a system that has been waiting for decades for a simplification that can change and improve the daily life of citizens and accountants. Today the fiscal calendar foresees 1458 fulfillments a year, it is clear that something is not working”.
The president of the young accountants underlines how “the executive should also look at the proposals that come from the opposition, which in some cases are just and legitimate. Forcing the hand could be a serious error of method, we have already seen it with the previous government, because one reform which represents only a part of the Parliament it would have no future.”
