Claimed at 365,000 – can get cows and a million

today at 19.10 Nora Fernstedt

A man in Växjö was sued for 365,000 kroner for unpaid rent.

Now the man can become a millionaire instead – and get a bunch of cows.

The odd rent dispute, which Home & Rent reports on, is about a farm in Växjö municipality.

It is owned by an estate and is now for sale. A company has rented the property for several years, and has in turn sublet it to a man.

According to the landlord, the man has not paid rent since 2015, and they therefore demanded the six-figure sum from him.

The man refused – and came up with a counterclaim of SEK 3.2 million. The man said that he had had a verbal agreement with the previous property owner that he would be compensated for the work he put into the farm.

The dispute ended with a settlement – the man will receive one million kroner from the company if he moves.

In addition, he gets to buy off the farm’s cattle and a tractor.

“If Pernod Ricard’s CEO is serious about condemning the Russian invasion, he should not continue to pump money into the war coffers. • The government: The next electricity subsidy will only go to households

The government has decided on a change in the regulation that regulates the electricity subsidy paid out to households throughout Sweden in May.

The change means that consumers only receive support for electricity consumption that was used in the household, and not for business activities that may have taken place in the same building as the household.

Försäkringskassan also gets powers to investigate whether the electricity has been used in the household or in the business.

    – Today’s decision means that a private person who has consumed electricity both in the household and in business activities will be entitled to electricity support for the consumption that refers to household electricity, says Energy and Business Minister Ebba Busch (KD) in a press release.

When the previous electricity subsidy was paid out to households in southern Sweden, there was no such regulation, something that drew criticism as a number of traders with sole proprietorships likely received electricity subsidies.

Ebba Busch was questioned in the Constitution Committee about the handling of the matter of confidentiality in connection with electricity subsidies.

The Minister of Business and Industry received questions about the government’s quick handling of the secrecy surrounding the household electricity subsidy, which has received harsh criticism.

Among other things, it was about the fact that some reference bodies were only given a few hours to comment on the proposal to classify information about electricity consumers’ installation time as confidential, writes TT.

    – If you had chosen a different arrangement for times, this support would not have reached the households until the end of February, when we knew that the need was greatest, said Ebba Busch during the hearing.
