Liza-Maria Norlin will be the new party secretary for KD

After Johan Ingerö quit, Liza-Maria Norlin now takes over as party secretary in KD.

– Liza-Maria has been active in the party since 1998 and has both served in the Riksdag and been active in municipal politics for many years, says Ebba Busch.

Norlin is from Sundsvall and has worked as a high school teacher and self-employed. She was close to getting a seat in the Riksdag in the election last fall and has made brief inroads into the Riksdag in 2009 and 2010. In the 2019 EU Parliament election, she was the third name on the list, an election in which KD received two mandates.

Ingerö was reported to the police

Johan Ingerö was fired from his post in March after party colleague and EU parliamentarian Sara Skyttedal reported him to the police for sexual harassment. The report, which was later dropped, was about an alleged incident at a party after the EU elections in 2014. Something Skyttedal told about in an interview with DN.

Ingerö himself believes that what he was accused of never happened. He has given his view of what happened in an interview with The evening paper.

Ebba Busch herself has said that Ingerö was not allowed to quit solely because of the police report, but that he was a wrong recruitment and should still be replaced by someone with greater organizational ability.
