There are still a few weeks until the release of Diablo 4 on June 6th. In a stream from the developers, however, players have already discovered the best helmet in the game – an absolute ability monster.
The helmet is a new version of the “Harlequin Crest”. The part was already very strong in Diablo 2 and the Diablo 4 version seems to top that again.

The helmet was discovered during a live stream from the developers, along with other previously unknown unique items. If you want to review more such items, you can find them on the Twitter account of Diablo expert “wudijo”. In total it shows 8 items with English descriptions:
The definite highlight is the Harlequin Crest. Wudijo says that if you don’t need a different helmet for your specific build, then you want this part.
The values speak for themselves. The item shown in the stream comes with the following bonuses:
Even the upper values make a strong impression. But the last one should make many players boil: The helmet gives 4 ranks for each ability, so it levels them up almost to the “normal” maximum (+5). Minor abilities with only 3 ranks go just above the default.
It is currently assumed that a maximum of +18 points is possible here.
What do players say about this? Reddit has already discovered the helmet. A thread on the subject garnered nearly 1,000 upvotes and over 400 comments (via reddit.com).
Most comments admire the sheer beauty of the values set. It is currently not possible to say how strong the values will be compared to values at level 100. However, based on skill ranks alone, many consider this to be the best helmet in the game.
One writes, for example: “Is that just me or is that [Item] Mandatory for all classes?”.
Besides that, the appearance of the helmet also gets a lot of attention. Because the Harlequin Crest is a unique item that is already available in Diablo 2 (via diablo.fandom.com).
At that time, however, it was an ugly cap, one user says: “Great! I’ll never have to look like a cabbage farmer on my way to market again.”
