WoW Classic will get an update soon. Former developer Brian Birmingham raises hopes under a tweet that it could be the much-anticipated “Classic Plus”.
A current WoW developer, MrGM, tweeted about an upcoming update to WoW Classic called 1.15. So it will not be a small innovation. Below the post is a response from Brian Birmingham. The former developer was fired in February because he didn’t want to rate his employees badly.
“I’m a bit biased but I think you guys will like it. An incredible team is working on this,” Birmingham tweeted.
A user then asks whether it is a Classic Plus. “I can neither confirm nor deny that, but I can say I’ve always loved the idea,” Birmingham replied (via Twitter).

Rumor: The upcoming update could be Classic Plus
What is Classic Plus? This is an update for WoW Classic, which has been rumored for a long time. It is not intended to change the basic gameplay of Classic but bring some features and items from the latest WoW versions to the MMORPG.
WoW Classic currently lets you play almost the same as it was in 2004 when the game came out. There are a few new features that players want: Quality of Life changes, bosses, zones and items that they simply lack in WoW Classic. The developers would not change the graphics and the feeling of nostalgia, most of vanilla WoW would remain the same.
A few years ago, fans even started a petition asking Blizzard to develop a Classic Plus. Vanilla WoW is currently over with the raid of the Naxxramas necropolis, which first appeared 15 years ago. So WoW Classic could continue in different places.
If you don’t just want to play the actual Classic version, you also have access to WOTLK Classic and the Season of the Championship with additional challenges.
How likely is the release? An update will definitely come. We can’t say at the moment whether it’s Classic Plus.
