Five spotlight hours and five raid hours await you in May. Pokémon such as Genesect (Lightning Pack)*, Tapu Kime*, Mega Scizor and Mega Pinsir await you in the raids. In addition, the five themed events “An Intuitive Hero”, “Raid Day”, “A Daring Hero”, “Top Raids”, a previously unknown event and a Community Day will start.

Which events are particularly worthwhile in May 2023? These can be worthwhile:

  • So far, Niantic has announced most events without details and only with their name. The experiences of the last few years already show what could be good. An Intuitive Hero (May 2 to May 8):
  • The event has already been unveiled by Niantic. One of the bonuses is an increased chance of Shinys when you hatch 2km, 5km, or 10km Eggs. This can be a cool event for the shiny hunters among you. There is also more XP and Stardust from hatching eggs. Mega Pinsir (May 11 – May 24) and Mega Altaria (May 24 – June 1):

    • Mega Pinsir will become the best bug attacker for raids after its release. Accordingly, many trainers are already looking forward to upgrading their collection with a powerful fighter. Mega Altaria hasn’t been active in Pokémon GO for a while, and Trainers are excited to finally get the chance to get the Pokémon again.
