The scenario for this spring’s major armed forces exercise is that Sweden is attacked by a foreign military power. On Monday, the participants are faced with a situation where the war has come to Sweden.
Around 26,000 people from 14 countries are participating in Aurora 23, which has been running since May 17. It is the largest war exercise in Sweden since Sydfront 89 about 30 years ago.
In addition to the Swedish army, navy, air force and home guard, soldiers from 13 other countries participate.
