The Ifo index for April rises to 93.6, from 93.2 in March. Analysts had on average expected an index of 93.4, according to a compilation from the Bloomberg news agency.
April will be the sixth month in a row that the index rises.
At the same time, the index showing companies’ future prospects also rises to 92.2 in April, against 91 the month before. Here the analysts had expected 91.1.
