When Peter Forsberg made a big mistake in the SC final in 1994 and wanted to slap referee Börje Johansson.
18 years later they reunited again and then surprised the judge with an unexpected gift for “Foppa”.
Today it is Swedish television history and a real classic in hockey Sweden. Modo had just lost the SM final in 1994 against Malmö and a 20-year-old Peter Forsberg was fly cursed immediately after the final whistle.
Foppa’s anger
When the TV mic came to “Foppa”, he could not hold back his emotions and great disappointment. Above all, he was really annoyed with the referee Börje Johansson.

18 years later, the duo would be reunited again when Forsberg was a guest in the TV4 program “Hellenius Hörna” in 2012 and the host David Hellenius had invited a secret guest to Foppa’s great surprise. Börje Johansson then enters the studio in full referee gear and with a most unexpected gift in hand, see the video below.

Börje’s gift
The referee profile had with him an SM trophy which he handed over to Forsberg as a plaster on the wounds in an incredibly beautiful coup. Foppa hesitated a little before accepting the trophy and then both were embraced in a warm hug.

Then they buried the hatchet and got together 18 years after the giant rage over the final loss in 1994, see the meeting in the video below.
