Sawing Canada
Already in the first period break, the Canadian team was sawn and the Swedes were widely praised.
– Sweden really plays as a team. They are on, Canada is not. They make bad turnovers, miss marks and make bad decisions with and without the puck. All in all, it’s an absolutely terrible period, says the TSN expert Dave Reid.

The most impressive thing was that Småkrona managed to score five goals on just seven shots in the first period, see the first goal below. Canada never managed to recover from the tearing start and the elimination then continued with both 6-0 and 7-0 after goals by Zeb Forsfjäll and Stenberg again.
