Not verifying pre-filled amounts
Is filling out your tax return giving you hives? This is no reason to take anything that is pre-populated by the tax authorities for granted. Now is the time to roll up your sleeves, for two reasons:
- The pre-filled information is used to calculate your income tax amount
- But also your withholding tax rate, from September 2023
In the event of an error, you expose yourself to a possible penalty from the tax authorities. All the more reason to be extra vigilant, especially with the automatic declaration.
