Court halts trial in McCann case

The court in Brauschweig has decided to stop the trial against 45-year-old Christian Brückner, who is the main suspect in the abduction of Madeleine McCann, it says Picture.

According to the suspect’s lawyer, Friedrich Fülscher, the reason is that the court does not have enough competence to decide the matter.

Christian Brückner is also suspected of a series of sexual crimes that allegedly took place between 2000 and 2017, including child abuse.

  • So many roads are “very bad”

    One in ten state roads in Sweden is in very poor condition, shows an analysis by Transportföretagen of the Swedish Transport Administration’s permit data.

    The organization believes that the budget for road maintenance must increase by two billion kroner per year, so that more roads do not get worse.
