As in the case of MG, the momentum gained by Volvo by continuing its journey within the body of Geely, a Chinese manufacturer, cannot be overlooked. The Swedish manufacturer, which has gained great momentum in recent years with the increase in new production facilities and sales numbers, also provided very important R&D support to the Geely front. In this process, we started to see new brands born from the hands of the duo on the roads. Zeekr, one of these examples together with Lynk & Co, announced that it will enter Europe after the Far East. With this announcement made within the scope of the Shanghai Auto Show, the models to be sold and the first target markets were also announced.
Zeekr will enter Europe with two models in the first phase
Zeekr, which will be included in the European opening process of new establishments that started through Lynk & Co in 2020, will target certain markets in the first stage, just like the other brand. While it is announced that the sales process will start based in Sweden and the Netherlands for now, the first model to be offered to users will be the 001. The 001, which will be presented to users in the last quarter of 2024, will be followed by the X, which was introduced last February. Zeekr’s European operation will be headquartered in Amsterdam.

It is possible to say that the 001, which will be the first model Zeekr will present in Europe, is extremely competitive in terms of technical quality. Zeekr 001, which claims a range of 600 kilometers in its single electric motor version, will be able to respond to high performance seekers with its dual electric motor version of 544 PS. The biggest surprise of the car, whose make-up version was introduced in January, was on the battery side. Announcing a very high capacity battery pack of 140 kWh, the 001 drew attention with its claim of a range exceeding 1,000 kilometers in the Chinese test cycle. Zeekr X, which was launched in February, differentiates itself as single and double electric motors. The dual electric motor package of the model, which offers a range of up to 440 kilometers in WTLP standards, stands out with its 476 horsepower and 0-100 value in 3.7 seconds. The starting price of the X in China is shared as $ 27,615.
