The EU’s ambassador to Sudan has been attacked in his home in the capital Khartoum, the EU’s foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell announced on Twitter.
“A few hours ago, the EU ambassador in Sudan was attacked in his own residence,” he writes.
Borrell did not state any injuries or what kind of attack it was.
“The security of diplomatic premises and personnel is a primary responsibility of the Sudanese authorities and an obligation under international law,” he continues.
