The pre-order prices of the first versions of Renault Austral, which will start to hit the roads of Turkey in June, have been announced.
Austral, which was introduced in March last year as one of the pioneers of the transformation in Renault’s new era, is preparing to replace Kadjar in its product range. The new model, whose sales adventure in the European market has been going on for a while, managed to attract attention with its increased quality perception compared to the Kadjar it replaced. Renault Austral, which has been awarded the “Best Car to Buy in Europe in 2023” by AUTOBEST, appeals to a wide range of users with its rich engine options. As of today, 500 units will be delivered for the Techno Esprit Alpine version, with a pre-order price of 1.190.000 TL, and the model will start to be delivered to its owners as of June 2023.

Highlights technical details for Renault Austral
Built on Renault’s new generation CMF-CD platform, Austral will be offered with two different infrastructure characters such as front-wheel drive and four-wheel steering 4Control. While the torsion bar is used at the rear in the standard versions, the fully independent suspension architecture comes into play as standard with the top versions, just like in the new Nissan Qashqai. The fact that the vehicle will be offered with four-wheel maneuverability brings an important capability in low-speed maneuvers in the city.
When we look at the engine side, the 200 hp hybrid option shaped in the center of the 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine at the entry level welcomes us. In this combination of Renault, the consumption value of 4.6 liters draws attention. The second hybrid combination, which comes with a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine, will be available with a 12V mild-hybrid starting generator system and two different power options of 140 and 160 hp. Offering 270 Nm of torque in both power output versions, we also remember this engine from Mercedes models. The first examples to be presented in Turkey will have a direct 160 horsepower combination.
Renault is adding Esprit Alpine to its product range for the first time with the Austral. Taking its name from Alpine, the sporty manufacturer of the group, this version will be a striking option with its design and equipment, as in examples such as the Hyundai N Line and Volkswagen R-Line. Esprit Alpine packages in which no improvements in engine and infrastructure technical staff will be located; The 20-inch gray color wheel set will bring parts such as the Alpine logo, blackened body parts, Alcantara interior trim, carbon patterned console parts, Nappa Leather steering wheel and aluminum pedals. It is worth noting that apart from this version, the wheel set in the base version of Austral comes in 17 inches.
Carrying Renault’s latest generation technological components on the cockpit side, Austral features all weapons such as a 12-inch digital driver screen, a 12-inch multimedia screen and a head-up display. In addition, an important feature of the vehicle that winks at premium dynamics will be the sound system signed by Harman Kardon. With this; Adaptive cruise control with stop-start assist, safe distance warning system, autonomous emergency brake support, lane follow and lane keeping assistant, 360° camera, blind spot warning system, rear cross traffic warning and LED Matrix headlights are among the prominent equipment of Austral. Finally, let’s not forget that the luggage volume of the family varies between 430 and 500 liters. When the seats are reclined, this figure can stretch up to 1,525 liters.
How are the Euro NCAP crash test results?
One of the most curious performances for Renault Austral before sales was undoubtedly on the Euro NCAP crash test side. In the results announced in November 2022, Austral managed to achieve a five-star rating in tests based on the new standards. Model detailed test results; 88 percent in the adult passenger protection category, 83 percent in the child protection, 69 percent in the pedestrian protection and 87 percent in the auxiliary safety systems.
