A nurse in Västerbotten has been convicted of stealing morphine from her workplace.

The woman was caught on a surveillance camera taking something from a shelf in the drug store and putting it in her pocket. Later that day, the incident was repeated, reports SVT Nyheter Västerbotten.

She was also filmed taking four used morphine syringes. Among other things, a used morphine ampoule was found in her cupboard.

The woman says she does not remember the incident. She has also said that she hasn’t cleaned her cupboard in years and used to put used ampoules and syringes there.

The nurse, who no longer remains at the workplace, is sentenced to a suspended sentence and daily fines for theft and arbitrary proceedings.
