Open World album, the new exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly sets out to show the beginnings of photography outside of Europe. A story little known, because the images are little shown. Through a selection of 300 photos belonging mainly to the museum’s collection, we follow the dissemination of this medium from its beginnings in Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas.
