“Baywatch” may be coming back
The TV series “Baywatch” can make a comeback, writes The Express. Production company Fremantle is in the process of developing new episodes and has also started discussions with various TV channels and streaming services, states Deadline. However, there is no information on who works with the production.
The lifeguards at Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles premiered on television in 1989. The main roles were played by, among others, David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, and the series was made in new seasons until 2001.
However, it is not the first time there has been talk of a new start for the series. When the movie “Baywatch” was released in 2017, a so-called remaster of the old series was also made and then the production company Fremantle tried to find out if there was enough interest for a new series or not. However, the film was not a success either among viewers or among critics.
