At half past nine, the police received a call about a woman who had been assaulted by a man when she went out to throw away rubbish.
– She managed to calm down. He left the scene, but we found him in the immediate area and arrested him based on intelligence information, says Kristoffer Axelsson, commander at the police’s regional command center.
The incident is being investigated as attempted rape.
– He is known to us from before. We continue with investigative measures.
The woman should not have had to seek medical attention.
