Sjö was named incorrectly for almost 60 years – now the map is changing

It is about lake Möllegylet, which the man thinks is actually called Möllesjön. “The lake is called Möllesjön locally and has always been called that since the mill at the outlet was active,” he writes in his name proposal, which was sent at the beginning of March to the Land Survey.

An investigation was started and it was finally able to show that the lake has actually been given the wrong name in the topographical map in 1967. Since then, the confusion has followed in the new editions.

Now the Land Survey has decided to change the name to Möllesjön, a name that will appear on the new maps.
