(Finance) – The shareholders’ meeting of Azzurra Airports, meeting today, appointed Claudio De Vincenti new president of the company, assigning him the responsibility of handling relations between Azzurra Aeroporti and its subsidiaries with the French authorities, as well as with supranational entities and bodies. Azzurra Airports, Mundys Group company And owned by the Principality of Monaco and EDF Invest, check it out Airports of the Côte d’Azur, which manages the airports of Nice, Cannes and Saint Tropez. It is the second French airport system, after that of Paris, which in 2022 recorded over 12 million passengers.
At the Nice airport an investment plan of a total value of 1.5 billion euros, with the aim of increasing the airport’s capacity to serve France’s second largest tourist destination. THE three stopovers by Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur have achieved the highest environmental certification issued by the Airport Carbon Accreditation body, committing to zero direct emissions by 2030.
DeVincenti joined Mundys Group in March 2021, as president of Aeroporti di Roma. An expert in regulatory issues and industrial policy, he was professor of Political Economics at the La Sapienza University of Rome, where he dealt in particular with policies to promote competition in public utility services, and is a senior fellow of the Luiss School of European Political Economy. With four different executives, he was minister for Territorial Cohesion and the South, undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and undersecretary and deputy minister at the Ministry of Economic Development.
