RATP strike: traffic forecasts for Thursday 13 April 2023

RATP strike traffic forecasts for Thursday 13 April 2023

RATP STRIKE APRIL 13. No Black Thursday in perspective for users of the RER, metros, buses and trams in the Paris region. The RATP strike on Thursday April 13, 2023 will not be one of the most followed.

[Mis à jour le 12 avril 2023 à 21h46] New day of strike at the RATP Thursday, April 13, 2023. While the inter-union mobilizes its troops, calling for a 12th day of demonstrations against the pension reform, on the eve of the long-awaited decision of the Constitutional Council on the constitutionality of the project , some RATP agents let it be known that they would be on the bridge. Nevertheless, users can be reassured, no black day in prospect this Thursday on the Parisian public transport network.

Three months after the first day of strike, mid-January, the movement seems to be running out of steam. It must be said that a majority of French people, according to certain recent polls commissioned, among others, by RTL, still support the movement, but that since the forced passage of the government, which did not hesitate to draw the famous article 49, paragraph 3 of the Constitution, many have given up. This is evidenced in particular by the RATP forecasts for metro traffic on April 13. During the very first days of the strike, the traffic on certain lines had been completely interrupted, when several metros only served a few stations at specific times. Thursday, only two lines, the 8 and the 13, will experience disruptions, and this, to a lesser extent, two out of three trains circulating.

The national strike movement against the pension reform joined by the RATP is “low magnitude”. Only RER traffic managed by SNCF is truly impacted. Consult below the detail of the traffic by lines:

  • Metro disruptions : normal traffic on all lines, with the exception of a few this Thursday, April 13, namely lines 8 and 13. On metro 8 as on metro 13, 2 trains out of 3 will run on average.
  • RER disruptions :
  • RER A : almost normal traffic with 3 out of 4 trains all day. In Nanterre-Préfecture, there will also be no change of train necessary.
  • RER B : almost normal traffic. Closure at 10:45 p.m. between Châtelet-les Halles and Charles de Gaulle 2 / Mitry-Claye Airport due to works.
  • RER C : plan 2 out of 3 trains.
  • RER D : provide 1 train out of 2 (interconnection maintained between Châtelet and Gare de Lyon).
  • RER E : plan 2 out of 3 trains.
  • Bus disruptions : normal traffic this Thursday 13 April.
  • Tram disruptions : normal traffic this Thursday 13 April.
