Capcom’s mysterious countdown is over. Street Fighter 6, the last link of the legendary fighting game series, was announced with a teaser.
Capcom, the game company famous for its series such as Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Monster Hunter, started a mysterious countdown last week. Although the first estimates were on Resident Evil 4, which the company had previously given the green light, there was a great possibility that a new game would come to the Street Fighter series, which has reached its 35th year. Finally, Capcom made the official announcement and Street Fighter 6 announced.
Street Fighter 6 announced with a teaser
Street Fighter 6, the next evolution of the Street Fighter franchise, which has sold more than 47 million copies in its 35-year history, is currently in development. The first teaser shown shows the series’ iconic protagonist Ryu and Street Fighter V’s number 45 character Luke. For Luke, the last DLC character of Street Fighter V, the company emphasized that it has an important place for its next games in terms of both design and gameplay. Details such as muscles and veins moving under the skin of Ryu and his opponent, whose hair is mixed with his beard in the first images, signal that a stronger game engine is used than the previous game. This could be a customized version of the RE Engine, not previously used in Street Fighter, but the key factor that makes Resident Evil games’ visuals impressive.
Capcom will share new details about Street Fighter 6 next summer.
