Netanyahu U-turns on Defense Minister: “Can’t Afford”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announces that his fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is getting his job back. – We stand and work together around the clock. Gallant will remain in his position and continue to work for the protection of Israeli citizens, the prime minister said during a press conference. Netanyahu announced in late March that Gallant would step down as minister after the former army general sharply criticized the Israeli government’s attempt to change the mandate of the Supreme Court.
