The music group “The Hebbe Sisters” is out on tour. When they recently visited a dementia home in Strängnäs, something happened that neither they nor the staff were prepared for. Anna, who has severe dementia, is one of those who live at the accommodation in Strängnäs. When “The Hebbe sisters” visited and sang the song “Swing it. The Master!” Anna suddenly stood up and took up the tune of the song. She could, to everyone’s surprise, memorize the entire text. Sisters Maria and Josefin, who are part of “The Hebbe sisters”, and mother Ulrika, who was also part of the dementia home, talk about the incident. – You are so moved by this and we are so happy that it has spread like this, they say. The sisters say that they will never forget the meeting with Anna and the positive impact music can have on people. – Anna remembered every word and spread such joy. We think this really shows that music can make us all feel so much better, they say.
