This means the last chance for national team captain Peter Gerhardsson to maybe try something new – and the last chance for the players to show off in the national team jerseys before the squad selection.
Goal drought? Sweden lost against Denmark (0–1) in Malmö last Friday. Before that, it was 0-0 against Germany in February. It is the longest goal drought for the national team since Peter Gerhardsson took over as national team captain in the fall of 2017.
Missing: among others Elin Rubensson who is ill, while Lina Hurtig and Amanda Ilestedt are out with injuries.
