In the meantime, Noorthoek continues to investigate this third, alternative plan. Before the summer, in June, he wants to clarify the feasibility. If the council likes that plan, a new decision will have to be made about the Rembrandt Bridge, after which the whole jumble of zoning plans and the like will start again. If there are no objections from third parties, construction of the bridge can start in 2026 at the earliest. So another considerable delay, but that was also possible after forty years.
