New MMORPG on Steam will follow an 18-year-old classic

Perfect New World is a new MMORPG for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. At its core, the game is intended to be a sequel to Perfect World, which was released in 2005. A beta should start in a few weeks.

What kind of game is this? Perfect New World will be an Asian MMORPG with action-packed combat, good graphics and a strong focus on dungeons and PvP. However, it is currently somewhat unclear whether there will be flight elements again and whether PvP will take place in the open world. Both used to be the case with Perfect World.

  • When creating your character, you can choose from 3 races: Elvens, Mythics and Humans. The editor should be very detailed.
  • You also have the choice of 3 classes: Berserker, Mysticsword and Galeblade.
  • The combat system should be action-packed. The developers also promise a large selection of skills and combos.
  • The actual game world should be completely open and get by without loading screens. For instances, of course, things are a little different.
  • The budget of the game is 300 million yuan (about 38 million euros).

    • As early as 2021, the developer Perfect World announced 4 new games, including Perfect New World. There will also be a mobile version, but it will work on its own, similar to Black Desert Mobile.

    When is Perfect New World coming out? There is no specific release date yet. However, you can already apply for a beta that is scheduled to start in May.

    Beta registration is ongoing, but initial testing is under NDA

    What do we know about the beta? From April 7th to April 23rd you can register for the Perfect New World Closed Beta (via Perfect World). This should then start on May 4th and gradually the number of participants should be increased.

    The test takes place for the PC in English and is provided with a non-disclosure agreement. So you will not be allowed to carry anything about the experiences to the outside world. The developers also emphasize that this is a very early version of the MMORPG and some things may change during the beta.

    Also, the progress you make in this beta will not carry over to future testing.

    Why is the game interesting? Perfect World was a free2play MMORPG that appeared in 2005 and was an alternative for many who couldn’t afford either the WoW subscription or the one-time cost of Guild Wars 1.

    The game drew attention to itself through flying and fighting in the air. But it was also one of the titles that were very strong Pay2Win.
