Girl dead in Germany – police suspect 11-year-old boy
On Tuesday, a 10-year-old girl was found dead in the town of Wunsiedel in Bavaria. Now the police suspect that an 11-year-old boy was involved in the murder, reports Der Spiegel.
The prosecutor assumes that the incident is a murder, but due to the boy’s young age, the police have not heard from him yet. Both children must have been placed in a child and youth center.
Ulrike Scharf, family minister of Bavaria has visited the city where she gave a speech and laid flowers in front of the place where the incident happened.

China’s lunar find – may contain billions of tons of water

Three cats have tested positive for bird flu
Three domestic cats in the US have tested positive for bird flu, reports say BNO News.
One case was discovered on a ranch in Wyoming.
“This is the first report of avian influenza in a domestic cat in Wyoming, and it was likely infected after eating the meat of a wild waterfowl,” the state veterinary laboratory writes.
There is no information about the cat’s condition.
In Nebraska, two cats were infected. One of them died after quickly falling ill with weight loss, fever and seizures. The other was euthanized after a sudden deterioration.
Last week a dog in Canada died of bird flu.
Ambulance warned too late – patients died
Two patients have died at Mora Hospital’s emergency department since staff were warned too late that the people were on their way in, local media reports.
In one case, an ambulance had transported a patient for about an hour. Despite that, the reception was not informed about the patient until the ambulance had arrived at the hospital garage, reports SVT News Dalarna.
Staff at the emergency department believe that earlier warnings are required for care to be effective and patient safe.
The hospital has requested a meeting with the ambulance service to address the alleged deficiencies.
Dengue fever is on the rise worldwide
Dengue fever, which is spread by mosquitoes, has increased greatly in the world. In 2000, approximately 500,000 cases were reported to the WHO compared to 2019 when the figure has risen to over five million, reports SR Ekot.
The reason for the increase is climate change, which meant more rain and warmer temperatures.

China conducts military exercises in the Taiwan Strait

After an alarm about gunfire in the Mariastaden area of Helsingborg shortly before 2 a.m., a person with gunshot wounds was taken to hospital.
The condition of the injured person who was shot is unclear.
A suspected crime scene is cordoned off and will be investigated by technicians and a sniffer dog.
The case is classified as attempted murder.
Björn killed joggers in Italy
A bear has attacked and killed a jogger in the Alpine province of Trento in northern Italy. The attack took place on Wednesday and is the first of its kind, a source told AFP.
The jogger’s family raised the alarm when he did not return from the run. A search operation found the body with deep wounds on the neck, arms and chest. An autopsy confirms that it moves like a bear attack.
The local authorities have decided to track down and kill the bear. (TT)
North Korea tests ‘tsunami’ drones
North Korea says it has conducted new tests of underwater drones capable of carrying nuclear warheads, writes Reuters.
The attack weapon goes by the name “tsunami”.
According to state news agency KCNA, the test was conducted between April 4 and 7, when the drones covered 100 kilometers in 71 hours and 6 minutes and successfully knocked out the simulated target.

To your second question. It doesn’t seem like there has ever been any exclusion or “pause” of a country from NATO, as far as I can see. So it is primarily unclear whether it will work.
Also unclear if NATO would want to exclude Turkey, temporarily or permanently. In that case, the concern is great that Turkey would lean against Russia.
