According to Urheilu’s expert Ismo Lehkonen, HIFK made stupid mistakes. He emphasizes that HIFK cannot be undisciplined or hesitate against a team of Tappara’s caliber.
Helsinki IFK’s sad balance in Tampere continued on Friday, when Tappara beat the Helsinki team for the second time with a score of 5–2. HIFK has therefore lost all the matches they played at the Tampere arena this season.
Sports expert Ismo Lehkonen you can see that the footprints were already clear by Jonathan Davidsson After the 2–0 goal.
– HIFK played 19 minutes according to the game plan and then a stupid half-time with very bad defensive play. Then one soft defensive play in the own area and the game was 2–0. The footsteps were basically there, Lehkonen stated at the Ice Hockey Tour.
Lehkonen emphasizes that Tappara had not reached the finish line before this.
– It occurred to them, shall we say, silly mistakes. HIFK just doesn’t have enough nerve for that. Tappara didn’t really have other places, but then these two mistakes.
– HIFK simply can’t stand playing according to the system. Somewhere someone wants to correct or slip things a little.
The expert also reminds us of the scope of Tappara. The team could recycle more of its players, for example Patrik Virta and Kristian Kuusela were sitting in the stands.
– Tappara’s roster is extensive. All the more reason, when you think about HIFK’s possibilities, that they can’t make interim changes. You can’t be undisciplined by hiring fools, Lehkonen stated and pointed Take Rantakari for two minutes.
“Is HIFK only a home problem?”
Tappara played with discipline, and the workload of HIFK players without the puck was not enough against the Tampere defense. However, the expert reminds that there are no surprises in Tappara’s way of playing. It has been carefully reviewed in HIFK’s dressing room.
– You have to be able to answer that if you are a professional player. Especially when there is a HIFK logo on the chest. The agent has sold you as a winning player to HIFK, where the goal is only the championship. You can’t get stuck there. You just can’t. Or you’re in the wrong place.
– Is HIFK only a home problem when the guests have baggy pants? This is not how boys play hockey in a HIFK-style team. Must be a little jerk in the pants.
C More’s narrator Jani Alkio asked after the game (you move to another service) HIFK’s star player Eetu Koivistoinenwhat the team needs to improve in order for the series to continue in Helsinki.
– Soul to the game, Koivistoinen answered succinctly.
