Finland announced its support after Hungary had ratified Finland’s membership application to the military alliance NATO.

Hungary has justified its law with child protection, but according to the EU Commission’s view, it violates basic and human rights as well as lower-level EU regulation.
On Thursday, France and Germany added their names to the list. In addition, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden and the European Parliament have given their support.
Sweden’s NATO membership application is still awaiting the approval of Hungary and Turkey.
