The US has launched an investigation
The White House worked on Thursday to get rid of the documents that circulated online, and the Pentagon has launched an investigation into the leak.
Who leaked the documents remains unclear.
– We are aware of the reports about posts in social media and we are looking into the matter, says Sabrina Singhpress secretary at the Pentagon to the New York Times.
Weapon deliveries and abilities
The leaked documents include photographed charts of expected arms deliveries and estimates of the capabilities of Ukrainian troops.
However, military analysts believe that the documents have been manipulated. Among other things, the number of dead on the Ukrainian side is overestimated, while the Russian death toll is underestimated.
It could indicate an attempt at Russian disinformation, according to the newspaper.
In the leaked documents, there is no information about when or how Ukraine plans to carry out its offensive. At the same time, it can give a trained eye an insight into Ukrainian war planning, New York Times.
