Car drove straight into villa – at least two people injured

A car has driven into a villa in Hovmantorp in Lessebo municipality and according to the first reports, two people have been injured. Police, emergency services and ambulance are on site. The place is cordoned off and interviews with witnesses have begun. – We assist the emergency services on site and cordon off the area. We are talking to witnesses to get a clearer picture of what has happened, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson at the Kronoberg police. One person in the car and one person in the house are injured. Both will be taken by ambulance to hospital. – We have worked with ambulance personnel and the victims must be ready to go to hospital, says rescue leader Pär Stensson. The emergency services are now investigating whether there is a race risk after the accident. – The load-bearing structure has disappeared, so we are investigating from our side whether there is a risk of collapse, says Stensson.
