Patch 10.1 will be released in early May – release date earlier than expected

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

World of Warcraft’s next patch is coming much sooner than expected. Already at the beginning of May we are going to Aberrus, to the new raid.

The current patch 10.0.7 has only been live for a few weeks, but this year Blizzard apparently knows no respite for World of Warcraft fans. The first “big” update of the extension is pending and has already been given a release date. With the early release of Patch 10.1 Embers from Neltharion, WoW is probably exceeding its own schedule and not even raising the risk of a content drought.

When will patch 10.1 be released? The official release date of patch 10.1 is May 3rd, 2023 – exactly one month from now. As usual, the patch goes live on the US realms a few hours earlier on May 2nd due to the time difference and different maintenance work.

What’s in the patch? With the patch it goes down into the Zaralek caves. This is a new area located just below the Dragon Isles and accessible from multiple access points. Here the incarnations plan their next steps and above all the fiery Fyrrak seeks new strength and allies to limit the aspects and the heroes of Azeroth.

The second “big piece” is the new raid: Aberrus, the Shadow Crucible. In this raid, the mysteries of Neltharion and the origins of the Dracthyr await to be explored. Of course, this goes hand in hand with some tough bosses and also very special loot, which makes your fellow players weaker.

When does the raid start? The players don’t have to wait long for the raid either, because Aberrus, the shadow crucible, starts a week later, on May 10, 2023. Accordingly, the “World First” race will also start then, because the mythical level of difficulty opens again coinciding with the normal and heroic!

What do you think of this early release date? Just right so you don’t get bored? Or is it going a bit too fast?
